The Lewisville fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ortiz. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 6th of the season) in the 3rd inning. Jefferson Park had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. The victory went to Antonio Alfonseca(1-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no runs. Alfonseca got relief help from Chad Cordero who gained credit for his 3rd save. Jon Lieber(1-2) suffered the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings of work. Steve Seydell was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That is what really ticks me off!'
